When a business owner imagines the business of their dreams, they want to do everything they can to make it happen. In order to do that they need to understand the operational side of the business, know where the money flows, and the potential pitfalls that surface when you want to be all things to all people.
The problem is most business owners aren’t experts in knowing how the lack of documented processes impact the efficiency and effectiveness of the business. This leaves them confused, frustrated and often paralyzed not knowing how move forward or having someone to ask for advice. It shouldn’t be so hard to have a business that runs smoothly.
I get it. It can be overwhelming to know how to document processes; which ones, what are the process steps, and can we get agreement on how, etc. It breaks my heart to see businesses get stuck in a vortex of inefficiency due to undocumented processes. Can documented processes really be made simple and, if so, how?
