    Hello,

For most individuals, the end of their career is an event that is contemplated with joyful anticipation.

However, those hopes and dreams are accompanied by a variety of concerns.

A prominent one that most focus on is the question: When?

It is a difficult question to answer when one considers the myriad of preparations that must be made. They require thoughtfulness, diligence, planning and more.

Early in the course of preparation, there are two major concerns that must be addressed and the answers incorporated into the planning.

One broad topic deals with practical matters related to the business or professional practice.

The other is more personal. It deals with the individual's understanding of his character and how that relates to his end of career and life beyond.

I discuss the importance of deliberating on both, well in advance of the possible end date.
