I recently formed my own advisory firm, Triple3 Associates LLC. I continue to provide the same services provided under my previous roles with Blum Shapiro and Lime Street LLC, namely assisting companies access capital, provide business consulting and interim or part time “CFO/COO” services. I have many relationships with capital providers at all levels of the capital continuum (e.g. early stage and growth equity, mezzanine debt, etc.) including specialty lending providers (e.g. royalty lenders, hard money, bridge lenders, non-bank asset-based lenders, equipment lenders, factors, etc.). These funding sources are often a critical part in executing a business plan. I work with accounting, law firms and consulting firms to assist their clients access capital.
I have experience as a business owner/operator, consultant to small and lower middle market businesses, bank lending and credit executive and economic development professional. The thread that runs through my experience is that the business, business unit or program did not exist and was created or was broken. In the business or business unit situations rapid growth and significant profit for shareholders occurred. On the program side new sustainable programs resulted addressing funding gaps in challenged urban markets or increasing capital available for early stage ventures.
I have 15+ year’s operating businesses, led a successful turned around of a precious metal plating chemistry manufacturer and refiner while under a bank forbearance agreement increasing sales 280% in a 4-year period including a succession plan to the next generation. Assumed responsibility for Bank Boston’s precious metals business at a time when the entire management team departed to a competitor bank devastating the business and leaving the bank with a declining business tied to the jewelry industry. I recruited an entire new business development, trading, operations and audit team that created new products and market channels increasing profits nine-fold in a 6-year period.
Recent engagements have been diverse including developing a strategic plan for a LED light manufacturer, a turnaround plan for an asphalt plant and paver in exit mode with its bank to arranging subordinated debt for large waste hauler building a 100,000 sf zero waste facility.
