Hi all. I recently spoke at the national Financial Planning Association conference in Seattle and shared these skills. Although they were focused on financial planners, I believe they are essential for all advisors working with clients. Technical skills are important too, but without the critical communication and relationship skills your advice may fall on deaf ears leading to "non-adherence"- the client doesn't do what you recommend. Ever happened to you? If so, then check out this article and let me know what you think!

If you want to learn how to use these skills or train your team (yes, they are trainable) to use these skills- let me know.
Cheers!
