As the Regional Director of Murphy Business Sales – Carolinas, I bring over 30 years of management, investment banking, and C-level executive experience to exit planning and transaction execution. Based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, my advisory focus spans across both North Carolina and South Carolina, assisting small and middle-market business owners with objective business valuations, targeted exit strategies, and structured transaction management.
Prior to joining Murphy in 2012, I served as the Chief Operating Officer of Republic Mortgage Insurance Company, directly managing risk pricing, quality control, technology, and legal compliance. During this tenure, I founded and managed a FINRA-licensed broker-dealer specialized in small to mid-market mergers, acquisitions, and advisory services. My institutional corporate background also includes significant tenure as an investment banker and Deal Team Leader at Wachovia. In that capacity, I was responsible for identifying, modeling, valuing, and executing complex mergers, acquisitions, and private capital raising opportunities, alongside managing divestitures for corporate lines of business.
This background combines corporate operational mastery with deep capital-markets expertise. My current advisory practice delivers professional transaction service with a 79.7% closing ratio over the last 13 years. I focus on meticulous deal preparation, producing data-driven Confidential Information Memorandums that minimize transactional friction and enable owners to remain fully focused on their day-to-day operations. By coordinating a collaborative network of external legal, financial, and tax professionals, I ensure each business transition aligns with the owner's long-term objectives.
